What's New?The green beans are exploding in my garden! I got a good start on canning green beans and beets this past week. Started dehydrating too! Dried peppers and zucchini.I'll be posting my own personal preserving updates each week at my blog SimplySharon. Come and join me there. I'd love to hear from you. Please leave a comment and let me know you stopped by. Recipe of the MonthI am a big bargain hunter. This past month my husband and I went to an auction and came home with a truck load. In one of the boxes that I purchased for a dollar I found Mirro Pressure Cooker! It is the small 4 quart pot so it barely will hold enough for my family's supper. But for a dollar I'm not complaining!I've been using my pressure canner for years but not had too much experience with a pressure cooker.... I love it! I've tried out several things with my canned venison and elk and they turned out pretty good. Here is a pressure cooker beef stew recipe that we enjoyed. (Of course I substituted our home canned elk.) Sharon RecommendsReduced
